Along with a keen interest in geography, Formula 1 and cinema, Alexander is a member of Abersytwyth University Motorsports club and has raced in the 2009 British Universities Karting Championship.
Alexander is also the 2010 Treasurer of the Aberystwyth University Postgraduate Association.
